PonyBabe is dedicated to making ethical and sustainable choices throughout the development process. By working with a local factory, we are able to build in-person relationships with the people who sew the clothes, as well as make on-site visits to see how production is going. Just 2% of clothing purchased in the USA is made here; we're proud to manufacture domestically, and in doing so support the local economy and fair wage jobs.
We use only natural and eco-friendlier materials including organic cotton and bamboo, and are working toward incorporating 100% natural vegetable-matter dyeing in the future.
During the cutting process, we make sure that no fabric scraps are thrown away; everything is bagged and sorted for future zero-waste projects. We've even donated remnants to a Brooklyn-based elementary school arts program where our "trash" is re-purposed by children to express their creativity.
We pack our shipments in recycled/reusable/recyclable sleeves and mailers, use recycled sticky labels, and skip any unnecessary fillers in the effort to keep waste out of landfills. We believe a beautiful product speaks for itself and encourage our customers to recognize the long-term positive environmental impact of our simple, no-frills packaging.
